Six months had passed since that night, the night he almost died, the night he realized what he was missing, the night he apologized to her. Marcus was now happier than ever because he was with her, but getting there had not been easy. After he told her everything he maybe thought she would accept him immediately because he was good at reading faces and her face had lit up like a star but when she said she needed time he was a little heart-broken. Marcus had a great Indian friend who always had helped him in situations like these, situations where he didn’t know what to do, he immediately went to him for help and support. After hearing everything all he said was “Give her time to miss you”. Marcus then calmed down and felt a little better and decided to give it time. He now was happier that he had told her and that he had no regrets now.
He knew this day would come, the day when he would be on at the receiving end of a gun and that day had arrived. He was staring at death in front of his eyes. He thought to himself, so soon? He had expected it to come a bit later but staring at the gun in front of him he felt prepared now, ready to face what was coming. He had no regrets and closed his eyes ready to face it. The Future, I think is the biggest question on the minds of youths of this generation. What does our future hold for us, where are we heading, what’s it going to be like, am I destined for greatness?, ache din aane wale hai?. We are an impatient bunch, our need to know far surpasses anything else in the world, we want answers to our questions, we want to know everything, why what when how etc and the biggest question mark in our bunch of questions is whats next meaning the future. The red string of fate, also referred to as the red thread of destiny, red thread of fate, is an East Asian belief. According to this myth, the gods tie an invisible red string around the ankles of those that are destined to meet each other in a certain situation or help each other in a certain way. This magical chord may stretch or tangle, but never break. I like to call it a Bond.
Wow feels good to write after so long and by so long I just mean a year. Its been an eventful year not blogging wise but in every other sense. Year two of the blog was a complete waste, didn’t write anything when I could have as I wasn’t always ‘busy’ but what’s done is done and now its the end of year two. A lot of things have changed in the past year as I said before it was an eventful one.
